White Parabolic Reflector 42″ / 80cm
As one of the most efficient reflectors on the market, the parabolic reflector intensifies light downwards to provide a better output of light across all of your plants.
Eliminate Hotspots & Utilise All Available Lumens With The Parabolic Reflector
- Provides around 95% reflectivity
- Suitable for 250w to 1000w HID lamps
- Helps to eliminate hotspots from your growing environment
- one-piece design helps to increase efficiency
The Parabolic Reflector produces an even spread of light and helps to completely eliminate hot-spots within your indoor growing environments.
What is the Parabolic Reflector used for?
The Parabolic Reflector utilises its unique folds and angles to ensure that light is emitted precisely. This results in over 95% efficiency and is able to reflect light better, making it far more useable for plants. With this reflector, your lamp mounts vertically to allow heat to transfer away from your plants. Similarly, this also means that the soil stays far fresher for longer, reducing the chance of a nutrient imbalance. This results in better yields and healthier plants.
Furthermore, this large shade measures over 80cm from edge to edge, giving it a widespread coverage over your growing environment. This will help to keep your room cool and your plants close to your lights, without the need for air-cooled lighting.
Where can you use the Parabolic Reflector?
When using within grow tents, this reflects the light towards your plants rather than aiming at them directing. Ultimately this stops the issue of hotspots and burning plant leaves, plus it’s far more effective than traditional reflectors.
How to use the Parabolic Reflector
The Parabolic Reflector is for use with vertically mounted HPS or MH bulbs. Start by hanging the reflector over the centre of your growing environment, at a sensible height. You may want to use either jack chain or rope ratchets to do this. Then, holding your lamp with a clean cloth, insert it into the fitted E40 fixture in the reflector and make sure your screw it in tightly. After that, plug the lead into the appropriate ballast (matching the wattage of your lamp) and switch the system on.
However, be aware that when you turn on HID lamps they do run at a very hot temperature. Therefore, you should avoid touching the lamp with fingers or any liquid sprays.
