What is the Reflector CoolTube with Batwing used for?

The Reflector CoolTube with Batwing works by housing your lamp in a clear glass tube, whilst blowing cool air through the tube. This helps to remove up to 80% of the heat generated by the lamp. Therefore reducing temperatures within your growing environment. Likewise, this high-quality reflector allows for greater airflow and far more heat dissipation, making it far easier to grow in smaller spaces. Plus, you can place grow lamps closer to your plants, without causing scorching or heat stress on your plants.

Where can you use the Reflector CoolTube with Batwing?

This is fitted with an E40 fitting, therefore it is suitable for sodium and metal halide lamps including 250w, 400w and 600w. It also comes with a 5m cable with IEC connector to plug straight into your ballast.

How to use the Reflector CoolTube with Batwing                            

Simply hang the reflector directly over the centre of your growing space at a sensible height. You may want to invest in either jack chain or rope ratchets. When inserting the lamp it is important that you hold the lamp with a clean cloth and ensure that you screw it in firmly. If you do now screw the lamp in securely, you may cause arcing within the system, resulting in damage. Then connect your 6inch ducting and clamp it firmly in place. We recommend that you connect the extractor fan to the inlet side of the cool tube so that the cold air is able to blow through, rather than it sucking air out. Otherwise, this could reduce the lifespan of your extractor fan.
