The Omega 600w MH Bulb is a metal halide lamp, which produces a light that is heavy on the blue spectrum. This, in combination with high-intensity levels, it provides the perfect light for amazing vegetative growth. This light helps to keep internodes short whilst encouraging bushier growth from your plants. Likewise, these lamps produce over 58,000 lumens at a colour temperature of 6400K.

Furthermore, their wide spectrum contains a lot of blue, so they boost vegetative growth whilst ensuring height levels are kept low. We recommend that you swap your bulb for an HPS grow light as soon as your plants begin to flower.

These bulbs are specifically for use within indoor growing environments, when using them you should only use a 600w HPS ballast. You’ll want to use this lamp as part of a professional set up including reflectors and ballasts. This is also only for use for vegetative growth.

How to use the Omega 600w MH Bulb                                     

To use this lamp start by making sure the lamp is completely clean, hold the lamp using a clean cloth and avoid touching the glass. Then screw the lamp into the E40 fitting on your chosen reflector. It is extremely important that you make sure that you screw your lamp in tightly, otherwise you can cause the inner fixture to arc. After that, connect the reflector cable to your ballast and the lamp should begin to light up. However, when in use these lamps do have a high running temperature. Therefore, its important that you avoid touching them with your fingers and always allow plenty of time for the bulb to cool down before handling.
