What is the Autopot XL System used for?

The Autopot XL System is a simple and effective nutrient delivery system where your plants are continuously fed from a gravity fed reservoir system. This system requires no pumps, instead, it uses Autopot’s Aquavalve system to transfer nutrient feed throughout the system.

Likewise, the 25-litre containers give your plants more than enough room to develop their roots throughout plant development. This system produces fantastic results and works its best when using coco coir.

Furthermore, the kit is supplied with everything needed to get you started which is perfect for less experienced growers. This makes the process of using the Autopot System hassle-free is you are wanting to grow huge plants.

Where can the Autopot XL System be used?

The Autopot XL System is the perfect way to provide your plants with all the nutrients they require, the Aquavalve system fills each tray up to 20mm, leaving your plant you absorb all nutrients. Then it automatically refills back up using the float valve system fitted. Similarly, the system delivers a fresh supply of nutrient solution, only once your plant’s roots have absorbed the previous 20mm.

In addition, this system feeds the Autopots from underneath, therefore it requires growing medium which is able to efficiently absorb liquids. We recommend that you use Coco Coir as a preferred growing medium purely for this reason. However, you can mix growing mediums, if you are using a heavier potting soil you may want to add perlite or clay pebbles to the mixture at a ratio of 1:1.

How to use the Autopot XL System?                                       

The Autopot XL System is simple to set up but requires a different setup depending on how many pots you are wanting to use. You should start by placing the circular root control disc on the bottom of the Autopot tray. It is important that the metallic side faces upward so roots are not able to grow inside the Aquavalve tray. The black matrix discs also work in the same way. Next, you need to fill the container with your preferred growing medium and plant our every pot. Then for a maximum of 10 days, you will need to hand water each pot before filling the reservoir system.

If you are wanting to check whether the Aquavalve system is working as it should, look closely at the yellow silicon that is fitted into the top float. To ensure that the Aquavalve system works correctly there needs to be a tight seal between the float and hole that sits below it. If this connection is not correct you simply need to lift the top float up, remove the silicon and give it a good clean. This should now fit securely and tightly. For the best results from your system, clean it after each use.
