Where can you use the SMS Smart Fan Controller?

This fan controller is for use within a hydroponic growing system that requires changes in the temperature and speed of fans. The controller scans the room and calculates if your fans need a gradual increase or decrease. As a result, it then finds the prime settings to sustain the temperature and will register this on the unit.

How to use the SMS Smart Fan Controller                                      

To use this controller, plug the fan speed controller into a mains socket and then plug your extractor fan into the front socket on the system. Once you switch on the mains socket, the fan will start to run. You can then use the dial on the front of the unit to control fan speed – either increasing or decreasing it as required.

The added temperature probe simply plugs into the small socket in the back of the unit. Users can then use one nob to set the minimum fan speed and the second nob to set a temperature that when reached the fan increases its speed.

However, it is important to take note that your fan speed must always be high enough to remove adequate amounts of stale air from your growing environment. Although, having fan speeds too low may not keep temperatures down, therefore, reducing plant growth. This system will adjust the speeds of fans with a maximum power consumption of 1500 watts (6.5 amps).
